Pacific Swimming is divided into five zones, each with its own geographical territory. While the five zones and their member clubs operate under Pacific's Bylaws and Rules and Regulations, the zones are independently governed, with their own boards of directors which meet regularly. Each zone prepares its own schedule of meets, which are then sanctioned by Pacific Swimming and included in its meet calendar. Most of the non-championship age group meets included in Pacific's meet calendar are scheduled at the zone level.
Swimmers may normally enter meets in any zone without restriction. Zones may, however, offer meets which are restricted to swimmers affiliated with their own teams, such as zone championship meets. Zones may also choose to give swimmers affiliated with zone teams entry preference into zone-scheduled meets.

- Zone 1 North: San Mateo County, and Santa Clara County from Palo Alto south to Sunnyvale and Cupertino [clubs] [officers]
