We are often asked where it is possible for individual swimmers to find a comprehensive record of the times they've swum. The official source for historical times data for individual swimmers is the SWIMS database maintained by USA Swimming. The results for all meets recognized by USA Swimming are included in this database. This includes meets sanctioned by Pacific Swimming and other USA Swimming Local Swimming Committees; college meets and high school championship meets where the swimmers were observed to be in compliance with USA Swimming technical rules; and other meets that have been officiated to USA Swimming standards. The SWIMS database is the source that will be used when entry times for a sanctioned meet must be verified.

To search the SWIMS database for a particular swimmer's historical times, go to the Times Search by Person page on the USA Swimming website. You can specify the name of the swimmer to be searched and can select a variety of date and event options to narrow your search. There is no charge for accessing this database. Note that this database does not include times for 25-yard events for 8/unders and that it does not benchmark times to time standards that are unique to Pacific Swimming, such as PC-B, PC-A, JO, Q, and PRT. Swimmers can also establish a My USA Swimming home page which includes a variety of historical time information for the swimmer. Another source of historical times for individual swimmers is Swim Connection. Swim Connection is a business independent of Pacific Swimming and USA Swimming. Accordingly, times in Swim Connection's database cannot be used to verify a meet qualifying time.

Swim Connection provides a variety of services to Pacific clubs and to individual Pacific swimmers. The company makes personalized meet results reports and extensive historical times data for Pacific meets available to their members, who pay an fee for these services. In addition, they make limited (current swim year) historical times available to non-members. The site has some features that swim parents find useful: for example, it tracks times for 25 yard events for 8/unders and it benchmarks swimmers' performances to time standards that are unique to Pacific Swimming, such as PC-B, PC-A, JO, Q, and PRT.

To access current-year times data for individual swimmers from the Swim Connection home page, click on the Club Pages Central button, then choose Pacific, then Swimmers. You can search for an individual swimmer by name. The Pacific Swimming web site has a comprehensive collection of meet results for meets that have taken place within Pacific Swimming's territory in the current year and past years. If you're looking for a time from a specific meet that took place in Pacific Swimming, you can likely find the time here. However, the USA Swimming times database is more complete, and the Times Search by Person page on the USA Swimming website has far more comprehensive search capabilities.
