October 11, 2017 - 2017 PacSwim Awards Results
The annual PacSwim Awards took place on Saturday, October 7 at the Hilton Concord. Swimmers, their families and coaches from throughout the LSC joined to enjoy dinner and special Speedo guest, Olympian Kevin Cordes. Each nominee received a Pacific Swimming mesh bag and sillicone swim cap and multiple awards were handed out. Jerry Chu (SCSC), won 3 Outstanding Swimmer awards plus the Age Group Race of the Year award. Lleyton Plattel (PLS) also won 3 Outstanding Swimmer awards in both short course and long course. Miranda Heckman (PLS) took home 3 individual awards, including Outstanding Swimmer in short course, as well as Race of the Year and Swimmer of the Year in the Senior division.
