August 18, 2021 - Announcements from Pacific Swimming Office
Hello Pacific Swimming Coaches, Officials and Members:
We hope you are enjoying the summer and had the chance to witness some remarkable swims during the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. As we get ready for the new swim year to commence in September, we have a number of news items to share with you.

MEMBERSHIP FORM & FEES – New membership forms for the upcoming swim year have been posted to our website. These forms are for new members or those whose membership has expired – renewals for clubs and their members will be available in October. Fees are changing for the first time since 2014, you can find out more about the new schedule of fees HERE. PLEASE, throw out any other forms you have on hand, we will not accept any of the old forms for processing memberships. Access the new forms, once they are posted, here.
COACH INSURANCE – Did you know that USA Swimming offers health insurance for coaches through a partnership with US EQUESTRIAN? You can find out all about this important program and how it may benefit your club and coaches. Visit COACH INSURANCE to find out more information - open enrollment is now through September 7, 2021.
MAAPP 2.0 – Updates to the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy go into effect September 1, 2021. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the policy and find updated resources for your club to implement the required changes. If you would like more information on these changes, there is an upcoming MAAPP 2.0 Training Webinar on August 26 at 4:00pm PST. NEW MEET FINANCIAL REPORTING PROCESS – We are rolling out a new process to help streamline the meet financial reporting process and decrease the paperwork required by clubs. Effective September 1, meet hosts will only need to email their Meet Summary report from their meet and Pacific Swimming will provide them with an invoice shortly thereafter. PACSWIM AWARDS REMINDER – We are looking for clubs to participate in our alternative awards program. We want to hear stories about your club’s perseverance, inspiration, and discoveries during the past year. Tell your club’s story and you may be one of up to 10 clubs that will receive a minimum $200 cash award for the best stories shared. Here’s how you share your story with us:
Submit a video, PowerPoint, spoken word, or other media between one and 4.5 minutes long, answering the prompt below:
How has your club been affected by Covid this past year? Tell your club's story, positive or negative!
Up to 10 clubs will receive prizes of $200 or more each! This is a team event - ONE submission will be accepted per team - please coordinate with your team for your submission, winners will be announced October 17, 2021, during our Fall HOD. Be mindful of copyright infringement and do not use copyrighted music in your submission.
