December 16, 2024 - Congratulations to Luke Hobson on his New World Records
Congratulations to Luke Hobson, who grew up in Zone 4 and at LAKE, as he broke the World Record in the 200 Free SCM (twice) and helped the United States to set new World Records in the 4x200 Free Relay and the 4x100 Free Relay at the SC World Championships in Budapest.
Luke's impressive week started off with swimming on the 4x100 Free Relay where a World Record was set at 3:01.66. Then Luke led off the 4x200 Free Relay with a split of 1:38.91, breaking the previous 200 SCM World Record of 1:39.37 set in 2009. The relay went on to set a World Record in a time of 6:40.51. At the end of the meet, Luke beat his own World Record by lowering his 200 Free SCM time down to 1:38.61. Congratulations Luke!
