December 10, 2015 - Eight Pacific Records Broken This Past Weekend
Eight Pacific Records were broken this past weekend at either Winter Nationals or the 14 & Under Championships. Leading the pack was Maxime Rooney (PLS) who broke three records. His 400m Free time of 3:51.88 broke three records, the Senior Men's record in the Pacific Senior Program, the 17-18 Boys' record in the Pacific Senior Program, and the 17-18 Boys' record in the Pacific Open division. Maya DiRado (STAN) broke the 200m Back Senior Women's record in the Pacific Senior Program with a time of 2:08.28.
At the 14 & Under Championships in Morgan Hill, new Pacific Records were set by Kyra Cui (QSS), who broke two 8&U Girl Pacific Records with times of 37.24 in the 50Y Breast and 1:12.94 in the 100Y IM. The Terrapins 13-14 boys also set two new Pacific Records in relays. The team of Matt Fetterman, Arie Vanhoven, Adrian Dulay and Cal Brown posted a time of 1:40.15 in the 200Y Medley Relay. For the 200Y Free Relay, the team of Arie Vanhoven, Cal Brown, Connor Seip and Matt Fetterman, broke the record with a time of 1:30.28.
