December 16, 2020 - First Pacific Swimming Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Silent Auction a Huge Success!
Hello Swimming Community,
We want to thank each one of you, whether you spent a bucketful or enjoyed viewing items but found nothing that appealed. You all helped make the first Pacific Swimming Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Silent Auction a huge success!
Our efforts have raised $9,799!
We cannot overstate the significance and impact of this fundraising event. As all of you have experienced in one way or another, participation in the sport of swimming changes lives.
It is with the deepest gratitude that we say thank you for making a contribution that will allow Pacific Swimming's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to continue our work to increase multicultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity and to foster an inclusive environment at all levels of competitive swimming.
2020 is a year that none of us will ever forget. Equity and racial and socioeconomic justice are at the center of our efforts as we work to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and economic crisis. The funds raised by the DEI Silent Auction will go a long way to retaining swimmers and keeping local teams afloat at a time when community and connection are especially critical for our athletes.
There will be one more opportunity to support the DEI efforts - the Buy Now opportunity. We have some fantastic items that we were not able to get up on the site the first time around, plus a few items you may have missed bidding on!
In closing, thank you! We wish you a safe, pleasant winter holiday season with our best wishes for 2021.
